1.        Background
 
The Parliamentary Secretariat for EU Funds and Social Dialogue within the Ministry for European Affairs and Equality, in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, is holding a Public Consultation on an Integrated Territorial Development Strategy for Gozo 2017-2020.
 
In an effort to coordinate investments in Gozo to be supported through European Structural and Investment Funds under the 2014-2020 period, Government has developed a draft integrated development strategy for Gozo. The aim of the strategy is to identify specific development needs and short to long term investment priorities for Gozo.
 
Through the implementation of this strategy, Government aims to maximise Gozo’s strengths, including its geo-physical and social characteristics, by fostering private and public sector investment in relevant key areas of the economy. Such investments shall aim to enhance Gozo’s potential, preserve its natural environment and improve the quality of life of Gozitans.

The Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties collects only information which is necessary for it to perform its intended functions and is set to fully comply with the Data Protection Principles as set out in the Act.  Verification of the ID number provided will take place as deemed necessary. All personal data provided will be processed according to the Data Protection Act (Cap 440).
