1.        Background​


The proposed development seeks
to upgrade the existing Marsa Racecourse to an international Standard Racecourse and upgrade and/or construct other ancillary facilities to the racecourse, including a childcare centre, corner commercial block, arcade area, car park and bus terminus.

The proposal requires an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as per Schedule I, Category II, Sections 1.0.2.1, 7.1.2.1 and 7.1.2.3 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (S.L. 549.46).   


2.        Consultation Questions

The Environment and Resources Authority is formulating terms of reference for the preparation of an EIA Report on the development mentioned above. The general public is invited to submit written comments on matters it wishes to see included in the terms of reference
