1.        Background​

Th
e outline application for the construction of a Waste to Energy Plant at Maghtab.

Location: Site at, Maghtab Land Fill Complex, Il-Maghtab, Naxxar.

The proposal requires an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as per Schedule I, Category I, Section 5.0.1.2 (Waste disposal installations for  the incineration or chemical treatment (as defined in Annex I to directive 2008/98/EC on waste unser heading D9) of non-hazardous waste, with a capacity of 100 tonnes or more per day) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2017 (S.L. 549.46).​


2.        Consultation Questions

The Environment and Resources Authority is in receipt of the EIA Report on the development mentioned above. The general public is invited to submit written comments on the said documentation.

Data Protection Statement the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act (Chapter 586)
