1.        Background

The proposal seeks to construct a new school – St. Albert the Great Community College – with ancillary sport facilities and a childcare centre. The proposal includes four separate blocks with underground indoor sports facilities, underground car parking, external sports facilities and an auditorium.

The proposal requires an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as per Schedule I, Category II, Section 1.0.2.1 Development with a site area of 2 ha or more and Section 7.1.2.1 Projects which have (i) a site area of 3 ha or more of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (S.L. 549.46).

The Environment and Resources Authority is in receipt of the EIA Report on the development mentioned above. The general public is invited to submit written comments on the said documentation.
