1.        Background
 

The proposal is for the demolition of the existing Grand Hotel Verdala and the redevelopment of the site into a residential complex and hotel. The proposal also seeks the change of use of the existing Verdala Annex from Class 3A hospitality to Class 1 residential.

The proposed development falls under Schedule I Category I, Section 7.1.1.1 of the EIA Regulations (S.L. 549.46) thereby the Environment and Resources Authority is consulting the general public to submit written comments on the Environmental Impact Assessment submitted as part of the proposal.

The Environment and Resources Authority is in receipt of the Environmental Impact Assessment of the development mentioned above. The general public is invited to submit written comments on the said documentation.
