1.        Background​

The Malta Medicines Authority (MMA) is presenting the draft of the MMA Strategy to 2025 which is based on six (6) overarching goals aimed to be addressed by the MMA throughout the next five (5) years. These include:

  • Resilience against current and potential market disruptors
  • Enhancing the accessibility framework
  • A robust regulatory system which adapts to new realities
  • Organisational growth and sustainability 
  • Leading through science, innovation, and expertise
  • Advancing communication norms 

Following a series of internal meetings and consultation sessions with external stakeholders, the MMA is embracing proactive engagement to review your recommendations and suggestions so as to:
  • Determine strategic issues;
  • Categorise market opportunities and threats to make the best use of its expertise and resources which are deemed to be a priority to the Authority;
  • Assess customer satisfaction and future demand; 
  • Discuss the Authority’s strengths and weaknesses in order to ensure its commitment to excellence in all its operations;
  • Gather feedback on the proposed MMA Strategy to 2025
