Background

The publication consultation exercise is being undertaken in connection with the replacement of the present LN 376/2012 on the Energy Performance of Buildings in line with EU Directive 2101/31/EU. Malta was served with a Reasoned Opinion way back which has been scaled down to a Pilot on condition that a new LN be published (DRAFT_Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations.pdf) to replace the existing one.
In view of this, the government is launching this initial scoping consultation to collect input from the general public, civil society organizations, trade unions, business organizations, political parties, governmental institutions and all others that would like to contribute towards this process.
