1.        Background

The Policy Document intends to highlight the vision, objectives and policy considerations that will guide the development of Malta’s National AI Strategy. Wide-ranging consultations will take place with interested stakeholder groups to gather feedback, input and consideration on the specific measures and actions that will be developed over the coming months. The vision is to make Malta a model nation where AI policy has a tangible, positive and long-lasting impact on citizens, business and the economy.
